Stuff Happens...

Well, not every day can be a good day. Behold the story of our friend Jay. Having submitted pictures of his 2006 way back in 2008, we were proud to feature his blacked out ride in our galleries.  But as you can see by the picture above, we recently learned that his car had fallen victim to an unfortunate traffic "episode." Unfortunately for Jay, his prized ride was a total loss. At Moss Muscle it just breaks our heart to see such a sight. While we didn't happen to have any spare Mustangs laying around to make Jay feel better, we did send along a care package of goodies to motivate him to get going again with a new Mustang. Some days it's just better to stay in bed...

Got a friend who's down and out with Mustang troubles? Make sure to give them a little extra sympathy along the way, because a day without our favorite ride is a dark day indeed. Good luck hooking up with a new Mustang Jay!

2010 Build Sneak Peak

It's been a few weeks since we've started the build on our new 2010 Mustang GT Coupe, so I thought it was time for a little update...

What you see here is our partially finished, Roush supercharged, Street Scene body equipped, Magnaflow clad, Enkei shoed street fighter. With the benefit of a few test drives as we've installed the goodies we can say this machine is bad-ass. Don't tell our bosses or anything, but when you couple the Roush supercharger with a Hurst short shift kit and then hook it up with staggered 20's on a Roush lowering kit and sway bars, well, let's just say make sure your seatbelts are working.

Still more goodies to add, plus some paint and graphics, then you can look for the debut of this Pony in magazines, on our website and in our catalog...

Let's Have Some Fun

Behold the unassuming arrival of a new project here at Moss Muscle. Yep, the new 2010 GT recently slipped through the back door of our shop. Now, in addition to being able to test fit parts, answer your technical questions and just generally goof around with the car, we also get to embark on another customization project! But what to do this time?

After a bit of research we've concluded that there are all kinds of ways for us to make this car stand out for our catalogs, advertising and website. But we'd rather hear what you think. Which direction should we go with the new Mustang build? Retro Boss look? Street Custom? Full Drag? Supercharger? Lowering Kit? So here's the question:

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE US DO WITH THE 2010 MUSTANG BUILD?

Log in and reply here, or send me an email at info@mossmuscle.com. Give us your best ideas and who knows, maybe you can control your dream build!

435 Horses at the Front Door

You know it's gonna be a good day when a VP from Roush rings up with the following question: "Mind if I drop by with the new 427R?" Umm, not at all. Let me clear my schedule.

Roush's new 2010 427R is 435 horses and 400 lb feet of kick ass. Dressed in their appearance package which includes a new front fascia, splitter, side splitters and 3 piece rear wing, this is a machine that really shows the way forward for Mustang. I had the chance to drive it and the very first thing you notice is its off-the-hook growl. Tap the pedal and just by the sheer sound of it all you know you're in for a ride - and when I finally got out of traffic, boy did it go. Roush's all new suspension package felt totally driveable, but getting it out onto some of our "test roads" proved what's really possible with the new car. And when you couple the outstanding new Mustang interior with Roush's pedals and short shifter, you easily create a thoroughly modern and yet retro musclecar driving experience.

I mean, this machine looks REALLY good on you.

To round it out, the fully integrated accents like Roush gauge faces and badging remind you that this is truly an OEM company delivering OEM quality.

Of course the best part of all is that Moss Muscle can hook you up with the components to get the same look and performance out of your ride. So feel free to call us with your questions and keep watching the website for more products that fit the 2010!

MCOA Hits it out of the park

We just returned from the MCOA 45th Anniversary Celebration in Birmingham Alabama and holy smokes what a party that was! In addition to the tens of thousands of people and thousands of Mustangs on display, we got to watch the Mustang Challenge race series and attend some great parties. It was good to see our friend Jack Roush, Jr  out on the Mustang Challenge Circuit. Also in attendance was our friend Kenny Brown , who is very much back on the scene! Also, I can't tell you how much fun we had hanging out with everyone at the Manufacterers Midway. Even just walking the row upon row of outstanding quality Mustangs on the show grounds was too much fun. One thing is for sure, Mustang folks are about the nicest, most hospitable crowd you'd ever want to party with.

Kudos to the organizers of the event, as well as to all the groups and clubs that made the event such a hit. We're already looking forward to the next big party!

What's Not to Like?

As you may already know, Moss Muscle is a proud sponsor of 5.0 magazine's Babe of the Month Competition. In addition to being part of an outstanding magazine and getting the chance to see some of Mustangdom's loveliest, we also get the chance to talk with the winners each month as we shower them with Moss Muscle gifts. Many times we'll ask them to send us a picture of them wearing some of the goodies we send - and boy did we receive a treat the other day!

For the magazine competition Tom Millett had submitted pics of his friend Maranda - and they won. So when we asked if they'd send us a few pics of Maranda in our T-shirt, what we received back was very impressive indeed. Turns out Tom is looking to get into the advertising biz, and boy he knows how to sell the goods! Above is one of the outstanding photos he sent to us, the rest of which we've posted on the Moss Muscle Babes Gallery . Thanks to Tom and Maranda for a great set of pics!

If you or someone you know wants to be featured on our website (Babes or Rides) and in our advertising, submit pics to info@mossmuscle.com We'd love to hear from you!

The Moss Muscle Ride

We've had quite a few requests recently to see more pics of the latest Moss Muscle Project Car. Our tech guys posed a great question: Starting with a regular GT, what could you do with just a few bucks and a few days? In other words, how do you build a street fighter on a budget? Well we went for it, and the results were pretty darn impressive.

You'll be seeing a lot more of our project car in some upcoming magazines, but meanwhile, here are a few peeks to see what we came up with...

Now Available: BBK

Talk about starting the week off right: When our merchandising department announced we were picking up the BBK brand I couldn't have been more pleased. BBK has such a strong following in the Mustang scene and their products are such good quality that I knew our customers would respond.

Click and scroll down to see some of our new BBK products.

With BBK's Gripp series strut tower braces, eXtracter series X pipes and Power Plus series throttle bodies, they're definitely leading the charge in perfomance. Also be sure to check out their cold air intakes, underdrive pulleys, performance headers and plenum covers. BBK builds quality performance parts that exceed that of the OEM manufacturer. Without exception all BBK Performance parts are direct bolt on with no modifications. All Applications are covered by full BBK manufacturers warranty and include detailed instructions for installation, with all the necessary gaskets and hardware included with your parts.

I'm glad to have BBK aboard and I can't wait to get some of these goodies over to the shop and try 'em on the company ride...

Where will the 2010 Mustang take us?

After my trip to the L.A. Auto Show to check out the new 2010 Mustang, I began thinking about what we could expect in aftermarket goodies and genuinely new styling trends for the car. With such a marked evolution of the car so it can compete in the modern sportscar world, I wonder what some of our favorite tuners, builders and manufacturers are thinking about it terms of customization? It's still a little early to imagine the oh-10 as anything but its brand-new incarnation, but the likes of Street Scene, Roush, Steeda, Foose and all the rest must already be working overtime at the drawing boards. Maybe I'll do a little work on the phone and see if anyone would be willing to share :)

While we wait for their inspiration, at least we have the outrageously fast looking 2010 GT500 to drool over. I wonder if I could get any of the ladies to join me for a drive in this...
